Keeping It Simple

Many "experts" have a flair for making everything seem complicated. We keep things simple, telling you what you need to do, but just as important, what you NEED NOT do to achieve compliance.

We work closely with BSI, CERTASS, and BUILDCHECK. We can provide technical advice and answer any question you may have in relation to BS EN 1279, BS EN12150, BS EN12600, BS EN14351, CE Marking.

We allow you to get on with your business confident that you are compliant. We specialise in EN1279 and offer a simple cost effective way to compliance.
Read about CE marking
  • BS EN1279. Construction Products Regulations -Glass in Buildings.

From 1st July 2013 it became a legal requirement for unit manufacturers and window fabricators to use the CE mark on their products. To use the CE Mark a company must be complying with EN1279 for units and EN14351 for windows. Window fabricators buying units from another source, must ensure that source is complying with EN1279.

To comply with EN1279 you must have the following:

    • A Part 2 Type Test Report from a notified body such as BSI
    • A Part 3 Gas Leakage Test Report from a notified body such as BSI (only if gas filling)
    • A Factory Production Control System
    • A Technical File
    • Current Part 6 periodic testing reports

Working as agents for BSI, we can arrange your Part 2 and Part 3 testing. We handle all documentation, collect your units and deliver to BSI on your behalf. We carry out Part 6 periodic testing at our factory in Leigh, Lancashire, covering the whole of the UK.

  • Self-Compliant

Most standards are self-compliant. Third party auditing of your company is not necessary and unless this is needed, you are adding unnecessary costs to your business.

  • Quality Mark

The NHBC and some local authorities may insist on third party certification, i.e. a Quality Mark such as Kitemark. This has nothing to do with the standard but you will need to get a Quality Mark to satisfy your customer.
